Good to know

Before you pack

A few things that make the weekend easier for everyone.

  • Wrap up warm

London in December is cold and damp, usually around 3 to 9°C, and dark before 4pm. Coat, scarf, gloves.

  • Comfy shoes

Saturday is a lot of walking between shops, and Sunday is sightseeing on foot.

  • Your going-out look

Pack something to dress up in for the birthday dinner and the club.

  • Bring your ID

Clubs in London check ID at the door. A passport or photo ID card does the job.

  • Tap to travel

No tickets needed on the Tube or buses: tap in and out with a contactless card or your phone.

  • Coming from abroad?

Most visitors, including travellers from Europe and the USA, need a UK ETA before the trip. Apply early.
